Standards Compliance

Phoenix FirstWare Recover Pro complies with Protected Area Run Time Interface Extension Services (PARTIES) an ANSI standard (ANSI NCITS 346-2001) that exploits the SETMAX command found in the ATA-5 command set to create a BIOS-controlled new maximum address. This compliance allows the creation of a protected area on the hard drive not modifiable by the user. Phoenix provides a hard drive validation tool as part of the Phoenix cME PC Edition tool set. We recommend that you run this tool to verify your hard drives are fully cME-compliant.
